The Zest Protocol Borrow platform consists of two separate markets: the Bitcoin Market and the Stacks Market.
Stacks market is the first and largest money market on Stacks.
It's a decentralized non-custodial liquidity protocol where users can participate as lenders or borrowers. Depositors provide liquidity to the market to earn passive income, while borrowers are able to take out overcollateralized loans based on their collateral for perpetual duration.
Stacks market is modelled on Aave v3.
Zest Protocol Bitcoin Market will users to get liquidity against their BTC or Bitcoin assets by borrowing. Zest Protocol Borrow is written in Clarity on the Stacks L2 and based on the design of Aave v3.
The true potential of Zest Protocol Borrow will be unleashed once the sBTC hard fork has been merged into the Stacks L2 near the end of 2024. More info in The Tech Under the Hood.
