The Zest Protocol Borrow platform consists of two separate markets: the Bitcoin Market and the Stacks Market.

Stacks Market

Stacks market is the first and largest money market on Stacks.

It's a decentralized, non-custodial liquidity protocol where users can participate as lenders or borrowers. Depositors provide liquidity to the market to earn passive income, while borrowers are able to take out overcollateralized loans based on their collateral for perpetual duration.

Users can already lend and borrow sBTC (BTC on Stacks), with over 500 sBTC deposited so far.

Zest Protocol Borrow is written in Clarity on the Stacks L2 and based on the design of Aave v3.

Bitcoin Market (launching soon)

Zest Protocol's Bitcoin Market will let users unlock liquidity across multiple chains by borrowing against their BTC or Bitcoin-backed assets.
