E-Mode Borrowing

What is E-Mode?

E-Mode is designed to boost capital efficiency when the collateral and borrowed assets move closely together in price. Because STX, stSTX, and stSTXbtc are highly correlated, users can safely borrow more of these assets compared to standard borrowing.

In E-Mode, users can benefit from 80% max LTV, a Liquidation Threshold at 85% LTV, and a liquidation penalty at 5%.

For example, with $1,000 in STX / stSTX / stSTXbtc as collateral, a user can borrow up to $800 STX / stSTX —instead of just $500 in the regular mode.

How to Activate E-Mode?

First, make sure you’ve supplied one of STX / stSTX / stSTXbtc, and it must be designed as the collateral asset.

Then, in the "Your Borrows" section, find and click the E-Mode button. A pop-up will appear, showing the eligible collateral assets in E-Mode, and then proceed to activate it.

Once active, you'll only see the assets available to borrow with the benefits of this mode.

To deactivate E-Mode, click the E-Mode button and confirm deactivation to switch back to standard borrowing markets.
