# How to Swap

Swapping on Zest Protocol Stacks Swap takes a few simple steps - video below.

## Connect Your Wallet

Open the Zest Protocol Stacks Swap app and click **Connect Wallet**. Stacks wallets such as Leather and Xverse are supported.

## Choose Your Tokens

Select the token to swap from and the token to swap to. Tokens can be searched by name or symbol.

## Enter an Amount and Review the Quote

Enter the amount to swap. Zest compares every available route across all supported DEXes and displays:

* **You receive**: the expected output of the swap
* **Minimum received**: the guaranteed floor, enforced on-chain. The swap can never fill below this amount. If the market moves too far, the transaction reverts instead.
* **Route**: the DEXes and pools the swap travels through. Large swaps may be split across several pools for a better overall price.

## Confirm in Your Wallet

Click **Swap** and approve the transaction in your wallet. The wallet displays the transaction's post-conditions, which specify exactly which tokens can leave the account and in what amount. If execution does not match the approved conditions, the transaction fails automatically.

## Done

Once the transaction confirms on Stacks, the output tokens arrive in your wallet. Progress can be followed in the app or on any Stacks explorer.

## If a Swap Does Not Go Through

Swaps are all or nothing. If the price moves beyond the protection, the quote expires, or any safety check fails, the whole transaction reverts and no tokens leave the wallet. Request a fresh quote and try again.
